"PERSPECTIVES" WORKSHOP DATES ANNOUNCED

The class is $695.00 and will start Sunday at noon and run until Tuesday around 5. The last workshop was pretty much a 24 hr a day deal, so much learning and even more having fun;-) The first day will cover mostly business, marketing, ideas, new product highlights, as well as getting down and personal;-) This would be a great time also to address any topics you would like to cover.
Monday morning we'll be starting the day with a few photo shoots, taking the photo shoot all the way from concept to final design. We have 9,ooo. Sq feet to play so we will rotate around and cover different scenarios.
Tuesday we will focus on workflow, Photoshop, creating brand new "boutique" items that no one else is doing and discussing techniques to help your studio step it up a notch. This workshop will be intensely "hands-on" We believe it is all about separating ourselves from the ordinary portrait photographer.
Did I mention fun?
Light breakfast, drinks and snacks will be provided. Sunday night will include a cookout and lunches will be provided Monday and Tuesday.
Flight would need to be made into MCI (kansas city international) and accommodations could be made at our new best western in Paola kansas. (about 50 miles from mci) 913.294.3700
I'm so excited to be collaborating with Lori on this workshop. Two unique ideas, styles, and PERSPECTIVES on everything in the business, yet one goal in mind...to create unique portrait art that stands out from the crowd.

CONTAINERS for CONTAINMENT;-)
Amber was sweet enough to send us an image of our new urn (and our beautiful blue butterfly angel wings) I haven't even had a chance to use the urn yet! These lightweight~ yet sturdy urns are available through Design Revolution as part of our new "prop" line. Thank you Amber~great job!

WE'RE BACK!
Shame on us for not blogging in months! Really, we have been busy, I promise! We moved into our new studio/warehouse, hosted a fabulous workshop and shopped for more great items to add to our already amazing product line.
I'm so excited to share a couple of new images for you. Many of you already own the sweet little vintage pom pom tutu but...we've added new colors! here are just two of the new ones...
this next skirt is actually a dress, versitale huh? My good friend Pat Lambert is going to be sending us an image of this being used as a dress, i'll post soon!

We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Thank you all so much for the incredilble year! We are looking forward to the new year, to bring new and exciting products and ideas to our studio and yours. As always, you are all an inspiration to us and we hope we can do the same for you.

What a whirlwind!
Whew! We have been so busy the last few months taking our show on the road!
We have met so many wonderful and talented photographers along the way. Thank you so much to each and every one of you that has helped to make our business a success. We hope Design Revolution can do the same for you.
Our next stop is PPA Nationals in Arizona. We need your help building our slide show for the event. If you are interested in submitting your images using Design Revolution products, please send them to info@designrevolutiononline.com. Makesure they are 5x7 and 300dpi and include your studio name on the image.
We have added lots of new and exciting items to our website. Check them out and let us know what you think. Also, we will be debuting our newest and most exciting product ever at Nationals! No hints! You don't want to miss it, it's AWESOME!

Busy, busy, busy...
The workshop is sold out and the waiting list is growing daily! The response has been incredible, thank you all. The next workshop is in the making and we'll let you know the details soon. Keep posted.
We have been busy, busy, busy....Check out our site. We'e added several new items to our ballerina collection. And our newest addition to our site is an entire page devoted to BOYS! That's right, we are searching high and low to find fun and adorable pieces to add to your shoots for boys- check it out! Several more pieces will be available soon!
We've had many requests for our popular teddy bear collection that we use in our studio. It has finally arrived. Our entire collection of teddy bears along with the cute and cuddly teddy bear cap, tutu and of course a big pink flower for girls! This collection of bears is incredible. We really spent countless hours searching far and wide to find the perfect bears that cooperate for you during the entire session and have just the right vintage look. Get a closer look on our "All About Boys" or "This and That" pages in the catalog.

UPCOMING WORKSHOP FOR PHOTOGRAPHERS!!!

If you love Julie's work as much as I do, you don't want to miss this opportunity to learn from her. This will be jammed packed three day workshop filled with tons of educational information and fun. There will be handouts for you to go home with, we'll have a marketing exchange and round table discussion, it's going to be a blast! I want your brains to be tired from being so inspired and learning so much and I want your stomach muscles to be sore from laughing so much from the fun you had when you leave.
Julie is a phenomenal artist and wonderful teacher, and will share anything she can with you. She will inspire you in so many ways and help you in any way she can. She has a great eye for high end style and class and has a great business sense to go along with it.
As you know she's recently teamed up with WHCC to teach a seminar focusing on albums to correlate with their new papers and albums they are releasing and she also has just finished designed her new album templates.
Albums are one of the products that I have been afraid of simply because I just don't have a high end market here and never really knew how to price them so I'm looking forward to learning about how to produce them EASILY, and how to market them effectively. If you have never seen any of her templates, them OMG you must see them. They are truly some of the most beautiful templates you will ever see. She has the market on the boutique grunge look, I have never seen anyone do it better. This is truly Julie's own natural style and she lives it day in and day out.
Although albums will be discussed, Julie will be teaching about marketing, posing, lighting, we'll be photographing models, pricing, photoshop, you tell her what you want to talk about or to cover and she will cover it. It will not be limited to just albums.
Minimum needed: 10 people with a max of 15 we will say for now.
Length of workshop: 2 full days, 1 half day
Cost: $500-includes lunches and Julie's new album templates that she will be working with during the workshop.
When: July 19-21 (Saturday, Sunday and Monday)
Where: My studio address is 900 E. Main Street, Easley, SC 29640 if you want to do a mapquest.

My studio is very conveniently located, literally five minutes away from restaurants like Outback, Copper River, Los Amigos or you have fast food.
If the Hobby Lobby is open by then which I think it will be, we'll be 2 minutes from a Hobby Lobby so if you don't have one near you, you can go shopping while you're here.

You're 20 minutes from downtown Greenville from the studio, which we must go to if ya'll come. We have a very artsy urban feel to downtown. You're 20 minutes from the mall from the hotel, and all the shopping, nightlife, etc so you're right at everything when you're here.
